Tarangire National Park
One of the attractions in Tarangire National park is the presence of very large herds of elephants unlike any other national park in Tanzania, a wonderful bird-watching site as well as the presence of Tarangire River that flows throughout the year towards the North side of this reserve is what gave this reserve its name.
Tarangire National Park has more than 550 species of birds that have been identified, and among those birds, some of them are in danger of extinction. The ponds and rivers in this reserve are the best places to see many birds.
Tarangire river water flows until the dry season, and a very large number of animals move to the areas close to this river, especially the northern parts of this reserve. This is the best place to see many and all kinds of animals, such as large herds of elephants and other wildlife such as zebras, buffaloes, gazelles, wildebeest, and lions which you can spot while game viewing.

Location
Tarangire National Park is located on the South East side of Lake Manyara. This park with a size of 2,850 square kilometers can be easily accessible from Arusha through a very good Tamarac road.
